Ricky Allen Bloom, 50, of Curwensville died Sunday in Clearfield.
Born June 16, 1961 in Clearfield, he was the son of Richard Bloom and Nancy Irwin. Mr. Bloom had been employed as an EMT for the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co. Ambulance Service.
He was a member of the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in New Millport. He was a member of the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co., where he participated as Rescue Captain, was a member and former Chief of the Fire Police, was a member and former chairman of the Parade Committee and had served as an EMT for the Curwensville Area High School Football Program. He also coached Little League in Curwensville for many years.
On March 14, 1981 in Philipsburg, he wed the former Dalinda A. Husted, who survives along with three children, Philip Bloom and his wife, Kristi of Blissfield, Mich., Jon Bloom and his wife, Jessica and Tiffani Bloom and her significant other, Matt, both of Clearfield.
Also surviving is his mother of Curwensville, two grandchildren, Logan and Kaitlyn Bloom, two sisters, Tammy Spencer and her husband, Dudley of Irvona and Dawn Diazmercado of Ohio and a brother, Charles “Chuck” Bloom of Olanta.
He was preceded in death by his father and his paternal grandparents, Geraldine and Ardeth Bloom.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville with Chaplain Gary B. Jewart officiating. Interment will be in the Williams Cemetery, New Millport.
Friends will be received from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until the time of services Wednesday.
