Alice E. Danver, 84, of Clearfield died Thursday at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1927 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Lewis E. and Catherine E. (Rafferty) Danver.
Miss Danver retired from Sears Roebuck Company, Clearfield.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, the Rosary and Altar Society and volunteered for the St. Francis School cafeteria, the Mercy Mission and the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is survived by three sisters, Helen Taylor, Rosella Duttry and Ruth Ann McCracken and her husband, Clifford, all of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jane Coons and Lois Danver; two brothers, Francis ‘Frank’ and James ‘Bump’ Danver; three brothers-in-law Robert Coons, Elry Taylor and Dwight Duttry; a sister-in-law Amy Danver; two nephews; two grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial was said at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front St., Clearfield, or to the St. Francis Parish Development Campaign, 212 South Front St., Clearfield.
