CLEARFIELD – A woman accused of smuggline controlled substances into Clearfield County Jail waived her right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Holly Lyon faces charges of contraband/controlled substance; and manufacture, delivery or possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

According to court records, police were called to CCJ on Aug. 17 for an incident of contraband. The deputy warden told police that he received information that Lyon had smuggled pills into the jail. A search of the inmates in Lyon’s block was conducted and she denied any knowledge of the pills. Another inmate was interviewed. She had thrown up into the tiolet at the nurse’s station. She was then subjected to a drug test and came back positive for benzos. She then admitted that she tested positive because she took drugs that she got from Lyon.

Lyone was then escorted to her cell and corrections officers searched her cell. One pill was found and Lyon admitted to having others and told the CI’s where to find them. A total of 40.5 pills were found.
