Road Work to Impact Puddintown Road Bike Trail

Repair work is continuing on US Route 322 bridges over Puddintown Road, Slab Cabin Run and Puddintown Bike Trail. Cyclists and pedestrians will encounter intermittent Puddintown bike trail closures Oct. 10 through 20, as PennDOT works to make those bridge repairs.

Crews will do as much work as possible from the roadway but there will be times when a manlift will be used for the repair work, requiring closure of the trail. Closures will be made with work zone cones and flaggers will be on the trail to alert cyclists and pedestrians to the trail closures.

These closures will occur during daylight hours only, Monday through Thursday. Any equipment on the bike path will be removed by 5 p.m. each day. Patience from hikers and bikers on the path is appreciated. All work is weather dependent.

This work is part of a contract to repair and preserve five bridges in Centre County. LTT Trucking LLC of North Bend is the contractor on this $1.1 million project.
