Obituary Notice: James A. Reitmyer

James Arthur Reitmyer, 81, of Madera, went home to be with the Lord at 8:30 a.m., Oct. 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born on July 24, 1930 at Utahville, a son of the late Harry and Catherine (Warrick) Reitmyer.

On June 16, 1951 in the former Pilgrim Holiness Church of Hyde, he married his beloved wife Rose (Moskel) Reitmyer who survives of Madera.

Jim is survived by his loving children; James Reitmyer and his wife Jean of Wyandotte, MI; Cathy Reitmyer of Bristol, CT; Pam Gavlak and her husband Robert of Morann; Tina Acheson and her husband Victor of New Cumberland, PA; and Sarah Simpson and her husband John of Bristol, CT.

He is also survived by nine loving grandchildren; Sharon Baillargeon and her husband Kyle, Glenn Killion and his wife Christine, Renee Ruffner, Jessica Acheson, Victor Acheson, Jr., Robert Gavlak, II, John Henry Simpson, Zachary Simpson, and Julia Simpson; seven great-grandchildren; Sasha Baillargeon, Kylie Baillargeon, Glenn Thomas Killion, Ryan Muller, Patrick Ruffner, Jayme Ruffner and Jayden Ruffner.

Jim is survived by his dear brother, Howard Reitmyer and his wife Clella of Coalport and his sister, Sarah Huey of Plainville, CT.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Kizina and Pat Sloan; and a brother, Hobart Reitmyer.

Jim was an active member of the Ashland Wesleyan Church of Ashland. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and best friend and neighbor, Marvin Myers.

Friends will be received on Oct. 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Oct. 6 from 9-10 a.m. at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc. Madera.

Funeral Services will be held on Oct. 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ashland Wesleyan Church with Pastors E. Joseph and Arlene Rohrbacker officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Cemetery, Hyde.
