Obituary Notice: Mona Jean Luzier

Mona Jean Luzier, 76, of Millersburg and formerly of Clearfield, died Tuesday at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.

She was born on Sept. 2, 1935 in Bigler Township, Houtzdale, Clearfield County, a daughter of the late Elva (Lanich) Godin Smith and the late Lewis E. Godin.

She graduated from Clearfield Area High School on June 3, 1954. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Luzier attended the Hebron Methodist Church, Millersburg.

On Nov. 11, 1955 at Clearfield, she wed Foster M. Luzier, who still resides in Millersburg.

Surviving are her four children, Gary Luzier and his wife, Beverly of Milton; Brian Luzier and his fiancé, Marie and Kay Robison and her husband, Charles Jr., all of Clearfield; and Susan Clontz and her husband, Ronald of Falling Waters, WV.

She’s also survived by nine grandchildren, Jenifer Spotts and her husband, Chad; Stephanie Luzier; Michael Luzier and his wife Bridget; Brandon, Mason and Justin Luzier; Christine Martell and her husband, Steve; Tabitha Robison and her fiancé, Jim Tully; and Charles ‘Chaz’ Robison III; and two great-granddaughters, Brooke and Britney Spotts.

In addition, she is survived by Dora Arnold, the mother of her grandchildren, Jenifer, Stephanie and Michael and three sister-in-laws, Kathy Godin of Clearfield, Mattie Witmer and her husband, John W. and their family of Carsonville; Tina Luzier and her family of Linglestown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Godin and a brother-in-law, Paul Luzier.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery, Clearfield.

Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, and from 10 a.m. until the hour of services Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Holy Spirit Hospital, 503 N. 21st St., Camp Hill, PA 17011-2288; Hospice of Central PA, 1320 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg, PA 17110 or to the Hebron United Methodist Church, 422 Market St., Millersburg, PA 17061-1338.
