Fugitive of the Week: Joshua Barger

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Sept. 26, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Joshua Barger, age 19, of Scott Lane, Philipsburg.

Shaw stated that Barger is wanted for failure to appear at Criminal Call on Sept. 15, 2011.

On Feb. 28, 2011, Tpr. Mary McGinnis of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Barger with: 1) criminal attempt to commit burglary, F2; and 2) criminal mischief, S.

An affidavit of probable Cause filed by McGinnis states that on Nov. 29, 2010, the Pennsylvania State Police were dispatched to the Fuel On located on Walton Street in Philipsburg. After arriving at the scene, troopers observed that cement blocks had been thrown against the glass doors of the business. Upon investigation, it was found that Barger had thrown the cement blocks at the glass doors of the business in an attempt to gain entry into the store.

A preliminary jearing was scheduled for March 30, 2011, at which time all charges were held for Court. On Sept. 15, 2011, Barger failed to appear for criminal call and a bench was issued for his arrest.

Hair:                Brown
