- An incident of burglary reportedly occurred sometime between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at house being newly constructed along Oakwood Street in Rush Township, Centre County. A person(s) removed five rolls of residential wiring before fleeing the scene. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Philipsburg-based state police at 814-342-3370.
- No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident at 2 p.m. Thursday along Presqueisle Street west of North Fourth Street in Philipsburg Borough, Centre County. A vehicle driven by Jodi L. Rowand, 32, of Ramey was stopped on Presqueisle Street in the westbound lane, waiting for the traffic light at Centre Street to turn green. At that time, a vehicle operated by a 76-year-old Sandy Ridge woman approached the Rowand vehicle from behind. Instead of applying her brakes, the woman accidentally stepped on her gas pedal, rear-ending the Rowand vehicle. Both were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the mishap. The Sandy Ridge woman was charged with careless driving.
