Norman A. Hughes, 79 of Niagara Falls, NY and formerly of Osceola Mills, passed away on Sept. 17, 2011 at Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital.
Born April 30, 1932, he was a son of the late Joseph F. and Margaret A. (Powers) Hughes.
He was a member of the Niagara Falls Catholic Church. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean conflict. He retired as a foreman at Carbondum in Niagara Falls. He graduated from the former Osceola Mills High School, class of 1950.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond C. Hughes.
He is survived by sister Agnes Marie Hughes of Erie; brother Patrick J. Hughes and his wife Maryann of Hamilton, OH and Jerome F. Hughes and his wife Helen of Rensselar, IN.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held celebrated at the Immaculate Conception Church in Osceola Mills on Sept. 23 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Horgas officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home in Osceola Mills. Burial will be at the church cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at the Heath Funeral Home on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. Military Honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
