CLEARFIELD – Residents in Lawrence Township interested in recycling were reminded that bins are still available.
Township Secretary/Treasurer Barbara Shaffner that a limited number of new containers are available. She stated that if residents had the older containers, they could be used as well.
The recycling schedule is as follows:
-First and Third Thursday of each month: Area #1 Golden Rod, Kerr Addition, Plymptonville, Mill Road, Turnpike Avenue, Hillsdale and Haney Development
-Second and Fourth Thursday Area #2: Susquehanna Terrace, Fletcherville, Montgomery Run Road, Hyde City, Country Club Hills, Long Meadow and Elizabeth Street
Items that are recyclable – metal (tin), aluminum, colored glass and clear glass
Please separate all items and colored glass must be separated from clear glass. You can use bags to separate items and put into recycling bins.
Items that are NOT picked up: cardboard, paper and plastic
Contact the township office at 765-4551 to get obtain a bin.
There are also drop off locations at the Glen Richey Fire Hall and the Hyde Fire Hall.
