- No injuries were reported after an accident Tuesday morning at Sheetz along state Route 879. A tractor-trailer driver was exiting the store location when they cut the turn too short and ran over protective poles for the light stand. No towing was required.
- Clearfield Borough Police were assisted with locating a minor patient who was taken into custody without incident.
- Police are currently investigating the theft of an F-150, extended cab pick-up truck from a Clearfield – Shawville Highway address. They’re checking video surveillance in the area and working with an agency out of the area as follow-up of another lead.
- Police are charging a Grassflat woman with retail theft and receiving stolen property. She and another woman were approached by store personnel and fled after becoming aware that police had been summoned. The Grassflat woman was located in another store in the Clearfield Mall. Police recovered a handbag that had reportedly been stolen. The investigation continues at this time, and charges are currently pending against the second woman whose identity is known by police.
- Police assisted another department with checking the welfare of a man who was believed to be depressed after a family argument. They spoke with the male and family members and determined that he was OK.
- Police assisted emergency medical services with a patent that had fallen. They helped by getting the patient to the ambulance.
- A domestic incident was reported because a man was reportedly trespassing. The man later reported to police that he’d been harassed. Neither side wanted to press charges. Both were advised not to have any further contact with the other that evening.
- An alarm was reported at a local business along River Road.
