- An incident of underage drinking reportedly occurred at 3:10 a.m. Sunday in the Country Fair store parking lot in Fox Township, Elk County. A 15-year-old Weedville boy was found intoxicated and was subsequently arrested for the purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or brewed beverages. A citation was filed with the district court.
- No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 10:30 p.m. Friday along state Route 948 in Highland Township, Elk County. Joshua James Kustra, 30, of Ridgway was traveling south when his vehicle swerved to avoid striking a bear in the roadway. At that point, his vehicle traveled onto an embankment and overturned, coming to a final rest and blocking the northbound lane. His vehicle sustained major damage; however, Kustra was wearing his seatbelt and wasn’t injured in the accident. His vehicle was towed from the scene.
