Police Officers Injured in Altercation at Snappy’s

CLEARFIELD – Two police officers were injured during a call out to Snappy’s along state Route 879.

According to the Lawrence Township Police Department, the call was for two suspicious men. Police spoke with the men at the Hampton Inn before returning to Snappy’s to learn about their behavior. Officers then returned to the Hampton Inn to talk to the men. The report stated that when officers made contact, the men lied to them. When the men were separated, one began to fight with police, and he was tasered. The man was taken to Clearfield Hospital for injuries he sustained in the fight.

Police said the man was found to be in possession of a controlled substance. He was arrested and placed in Clearfield County Jail.
