CLEARFIELD – Peter F. Smith, Attorney at Law received the Golden Broom Award for the month of August. The Golden Broom Award is a peer-to-peer program initiated by the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation to promote storefront and sidewalk cleanliness. The broom has been passed by The Progress, who won the award during the month of July.
The Progress passes the broom to Peter F. Smith because he has done a superior job maintaining a clean and appealing office building year round. Especially in the spring and summer months, flowers are planted in the window boxes, in the landscape along Cherry Street, and even in the pocket park to the left of the building. With the placement of his building on the corner of Cherry and South Second Street, his storefront is very visible so it is important to keep it looking nice.
Smith happily stated, ” An attractive storefront represents a strong business, and I am thankful to be recognized for my effort.”
