CLEARFIELD – The following is an update for PennDOT’s repair work on two bridges that span Interstate 80 in Clearfield County. Update is for week of Sept. 5. On both bridges, traffic restrictions have been lifted through Sept. 5 for Labor Day travel.
- Route 1009 (Deer Creek Road) in Graham Township:
After Sept. 5, short lane closures on Route 1009 are possible for additional work. Lane closures are likely on I-80 eastbound and westbound. Traffic volumes on I-80 could cause lengthy back-ups. Bridge is located at
I-80 mile-marker 129.
- Route 1015 (Flegal Road) in Lawrence Township:
After Sept. 5, short lane closures on Route 1015 are possible for additional work. Lane closures are likely on I-80 eastbound and westbound. Traffic volumes on I-80 could cause lengthy back-ups. Bridge is located at I-80 mile-marker 116.
All work is weather and schedule dependent. Swank Associated Companies is the contractor on this $1.9 million bridge preservation project.
Drivers are reminded to obey posted speed limits, use caution in construction zones, and always buckle up. PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check traffic conditions before heading out.
