Florida Man Waives Hearing in Old Child Rape Case

CLEARFIELD – A Florida man accused of raping a girl in 1993 waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Doyle A. Lansberry III faces two counts of rape, two counts of statutory rape, four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, six counts of indecent assault, six counts of indecent exposure, six counts of corruption of minors and six counts of terroristic threats.

According to court records, on April 24, 2000, Clearfield County Children, Youth and Family Services received information from the alleged victim that she had been sexually assaulted by Lansberry.

Police interviewed the alleged victim on June 26, 2000. She related to police that in 1993, Lansberry sexually molested her while he lived in Clearfield. She said Lansberry told her to touch his penis. She also said he rubbed her breasts On July 31, 2000, she told police that it happened between six to 12 times; two of the incidents allegedly consisted of oral sex.

Lansberry was picked up on a parole violation from the 1990’s. He’s currently in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail.
