CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. announced the capture of a wanted fugitive.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Kristen McBride, 29, of Decon Road, Clearfield. McBride was added to the Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week list on Aug. 8.
On Jan. 20, Patrolman Crystal Panebianco of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint, charging McBride with criminal trespass, criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Panebianco states that on Aug. 14, 2010, the Lawrence Township Police received of a report of a criminal trespass at a residence on Putty Road, Lawrence Township. Upon investigation it was found that McBride had unlawfully entered the residence of the victim after having previously been advised she was not permitted on the property.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 4 at which time all charges were held for court. On Aug. 4, McBride failed to appear for pretrial conferences and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Shaw stated that an anonymous tip to the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office provided the location of McBride at a residence on East Pine Street, Clearfield. On Aug. 9, deputies from the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office apprehended McBride, and she was taken into custody without incident.
Shaw thanked the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Office for their hard work and assistance with this case.
