Members of Boy Scout Troop 11, Grampian, reviewed the route for their support of the Praise Walk 2011 event taking place Sept. 3 and 4. Scoutmaster Lou Stubbs, III has planned and is taking Praise Walk 2011 on that date in Praise to God and in support to Imagine No Malaria, a non-profit move to eradicate malaria in Africa. Malaria kills a child in Africa on average every 45 seconds and to lend their support members of Troop 11 will be hiking parts of the walk with their scoutmaster. Assistant Scoutmaster Mike Cutler will also join Stubbs for the length of the route which is over 52 miles in a 24 hours period of time. The boys plan to use these hikes towards part of Hiking Merit Badge as well as supporting the worthy cause. Donations can be made to St Paul United Methodist Church, Imagine No Malaria, P O Box G, Grampian, PA 16838.
