Fugitive of the Week: Barry Taylor Jr.

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of Aug. 29, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Barry Eugene Taylor, Jr., age 44, of Mill Hall.

Shaw stated that Taylor is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing held on May 4, 2011 and for failure to appear at arraignment court held on Aug. 3, 2011.

On April 5, 2011, Lt. Todd E. Lombardo of the Morris-Copper Regional Police Department, filed a criminal complaint charging Taylor with: 1) bad checks, M2, 2 counts; and 2) driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked, S.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Lombardo states that in Aug. 2010, the Morris-Cooper Regional Police Department were dispatched to a Morrisdale business for the report of a bad check. Upon arrival, the victim relayed that Taylor had written a bad check in the amount of $661.20 in July 2010 in order to obtain merchandise from the store. Lombardo also learned that Taylor had driven to the business while he had a suspended driver’s license.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 4, 2011, at which time Taylor failed to appear and a bench warrant was issued for his arrest. Also, on Aug. 3, 2011, Taylor failed to appear for Arraignment Court and a bench was issued for his arrest.

Height:            6 feet, 1 inch

Hair:                Gray
