Authorities Search for Missing Person in Lawrence Township

CLEARFIELD – The Lawrence Township Police Department searched the river banks along River Road Friday afternoon as part of an ongoing missing person investigation.

According to GantDaily.com news partner WJAC-TV, authorities said the search focused on a back road near the Bionol Ethanol plant in Lawrence Township. Clearfield County District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. indicated that evidence from the case was collected at the scene.

However, Shaw wasn’t able to elaborate or offer details about the person reported missing.  In a press release, Police Chief Jeffery L. Fink of the Lawrence Township Police said a more detailed report would be released at a later date.

The Lawrence Township Police were assisted by the Clearfield Borough Police, the Pennsylvania State Police Aviation Unit, the Clearfield County Sheriff’s Department, Clearfield County Emergency Management, Clearfield Borough Fire Department, the Lawrence Township Fire Department Company No. 1, the Hyde Fire Company, the Glen Richey Fire Company, the American Red Cross and the Clearfield Emergency Medical Services.
