University Park Police Seek Information on Two Cases

UNIVERSITY PARK – The Penn State Police at University Park are investigating two separate incidents at The Agricultural Administration Building and the Agricultural, Science and Industries Building (ASI) that took place between Aug. 12 and 13. Police are seeking information pertaining to these incidents as well as assistance with identifying a possible suspect.

Burglary

Unknown people entered the Agricultural Science and Industries Building between 4 a.m. and noon on Aug. 13. During this time, several offices were forcibly entered and items including laptop computers and cash were removed. The exact value is unknown at this time.

Theft

A male with medium skin-tone, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches, wearing a black t-shirt and a bandana that covered his head, entered several offices within the Agricultural Administration Building and ASI Building between 2:30 and 2:45 p.m. on Aug. 12 and removed wallets and purses from unoccupied or unsecured offices. Approximately $500 in cash has been stolen.

Police have released surveillance camera images to the public and ask the public’s assistance in identifying the person in the images.

Those providing information that leads to an arrest may be eligible for a Crime Stoppers reward of up to $1,000.

University Police remind members of the campus community to secure valuables, always lock residence hall doors and to immediately report suspicious activity to University Police at 814-863-1111 or 9-1-1.
