CLEARFIELD – Property owners and contractors were reminded to apply for permits before beginning projects.
The reminder came during Thursday’s Clearfield Borough Council committees meetings on Thursday. Council President Jim Leitzinger said it’s an issue in the borough and had stern words for contractors.
“They know damn well they need one.”
Code Enforcement Officer Larry Mack indicated stated that it’s up to the property owner and contractor to get together to figure out who will apply for the permit. He indicated that ultimately, it’s up to the property owner.
Council member Fred Wisor commented on people not applying for permits.
“Cite them.”
“No question there,” added Leitzinger.
