Andrew H. Larson Sr., 70, of Philipsburg died Sunday at his residence.
Born Feb. 14, 1941, he was the son of the late A. Henry and Liza Mae (Rowles) Larson. Mr. Larson was of the Christian faith.
He’d been employed as a dairy farmer, carpenter and coal miner during his working career.
He married the former Ruth Belle Poole Aug. 21, 1965 in Rochester, NY and who died Nov. 7, 2008.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold “Bud” Larson and an infant sister, Darlene Larson.
Mr. Larson is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth M. Waite of Butler and Andrea H. Nevel and her husband, Scott of Osceola Mills and two sons, Andrew H. Larson Jr. and his wife, Angel of Hubert, NC and Thomas A. Larson and his wife, Amy of Philipsburg.
Surviving are two sisters, Barbara Graham and her husband, Raymond of Clearfield and Edith Keith and her husband, Earnest of Ephrata and one brother, David Larson and his wife, Peggy of Clearfield.
In addition, Mr. Larson is survived by 11 grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Jean Larson of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Gearhartville Free Methodist Church, Philipsburg, with the Rev. Noel Myers officiating.
Interment will be in the Thompson Cemetery, Glen Richey.
There will be no public visitation.
