Donald S. Logan, age 85, of Helvetia Road in Luthersburg, PA died Aug. 1, 2011 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
He was born on March 5, 1926 in DuBois, PA. He was the son of the late Clarence & Margaret (Welder) Logan.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II having served in the Asian Theatre.
He was married to Linda F. (Knorr) Logan. She preceded him in death on September 23, 2002.
He retired from Osburn Machine Co. in DuBois after many years of service.
He was a member of James J. Patterson Post 813 Veterans of Foreign Wars and the George D. Montgomery Post 17 American Legion. He was protestant by faith and enjoyed watching wildlife.
He is survived by his children: Donald C. Logan and his wife, Phyllis of Penfield, PA, David W. Logan and his wife, Gloria of DuBois, PA, Richard L. Logan and his wife, Kim L. of Luthersburg, PA and Kathy J. Walker and her husband, Calvin of Erie, PA, two sisters, Donna Kautz and her husband, Errol of DuBois, PA and Dory Bundy and her husband, Dale of DuBois, PA, one brother, Howard Logan of DuBois, PA, 12 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and one son, Larry S. Logan, five brothers, William, Robert, Chester, David and James Logan.
Visitation will be held on Aug. 4 from 1-3 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois.
A funeral service will be held on Aug. 4 at 3 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home with Pastor Charles Myers officiating.
Full Military Honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the funeral home.
Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
