No injuries were reported in a single-vehicle accident at approximately 1:25 a.m. Thursday along state Route 53 in Decatur Township, Clearfield County. A vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Philipsburg man was traveling north when he lost control. His vehicle traveled off the east shoulder and struck a section of guiderails.
The man wasn’t wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident. He’ll be cited for three summary violations through the district court in Kylertown. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene. Police were assisted at the scene by the Osceola Mills Volunteer Fire Company and Dunlap’s Towing.
