GRAMPIAN – Six contestants attempted to eat 16 hot dogs at the hot dog eating contest at Stonefest 2011 at Bilger’s Rocks.
Stonefest 2011 began on Friday, July 22, with live music taking place from noon until midnight. The live music continued on Saturday at 11 a.m. and at 3:30 p.m. it was time for a break, to eat some hot dogs.
Participants were allowed to have one cup of water, and were allowed to use ketchup and mustard, as long as they put it on their hot dogs before the contest began. After five minutes of competition, the winner, Justin Dixon, ate six of his hot dogs. Dixon was awarded a trophy on stage.
