DuBois Residents Injured in Motorcycle Accident

GULICH TOWNSHIP – Two DuBois residents suffered major injuries after a deer struck the motorcycle they were riding along state Route 153.

According to the state police in Clearfield, William J. Rusonis and Debra A. Rusonis were traveling on a motorcycle on SR 153 when a deer came out of the woods and struck the bike they were on. Rusonis lost control of the motorcycle and struck a tree. Both operator and passenger were thrown from the motorcycle. Both were wearing helmets. They were taken to Altoona Regional for treatment.

Police were assisted at the scene by Ramey Fire Company and Madera Emergency Medical Services.
