Dennis A. Dillen, 47 of Smokerun, PA died at his residence on June 29, 2011.
Born on Oct. 19, 1963 in Philipsburg, PA he was the son of Hermance Switala and Step-father Larry Switala of Parsonville, and the late Thomas G. Dillen and his step-mother Odessa “Cookie” Dillen.
He was a 1981 graduate of Moshannon Valley Jr.-Sr. High School and worked as a self-employed carpenter.
Dennis is survived by his mother and step-father, a daughter Deanna J. Dillen of Punxsutawney, PA; companion and friend, Debbie Gardner of Smokerun, PA; and the following sisters and brothers: Barbara (Bea) Davis, wife of John Davis of Smithmill, PA; Bob Dillen and his wife Sandy (Cook) Dillen of Houtzdale, Cindy Moore and her husband, Denny Moore of Houtzdale, PA; , Rhonda Shank of DuBois, PA; Jimmy Dillen and his wife Carol Dillen of Philipsburg, PA; John Dillen of Madera, PA; , Tom Dillen and his companion Tracy Snyder of Smokerun, PA.
He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews
Mr. Dillen is preceded in death by his father, Thomas G. Dillen, step-mother, Odessa “Cookie” Dillen, two brothers, Pete Dillen and William Dillen; one sister, Bobbie Jean Litzinger; two nephews, John Dillen and George Lutchko.
Friends will be received at the Kruise Funeral Home, Inc., Madera on July 5 from 9 – 11 a.m. Funeral and graveside services will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. on July 5 with Robert Kline officiating.
Mr. Dillen will be intered at Hegarty’s Crossroads Cemetery, Utahville
