CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield Babe Ruth League 14-Year-Old All-Stars received a first-round bye for the District 8 Tournament at State College and will play their opener Saturday at noon at the Airport Field.
Their opponent for the winner’s bracket semifinal game will be Altoona or State College.
Those two teams meet Friday at 5:30 p.m. while West End of Williamsport and Potter/McKean are playing on the Spectrum Field.
Keystone (Lock Haven) also has a bye Friday.
Clearfield won’t play again until Sunday at 1 p.m. if it wins its first game. A loss means another game Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The double-elimination tournament continues through Monday, with the champion advancing to the state tourney at Stroudsburg the third week in July.
