CLEARFIELD – The Ritz Theatre receives the Golden Broom Award for the month of June. The Golden Broom Award is a peer-to-peer program initiated by the Clearfield Revitalization Corporation (CRC) to promote storefront and sidewalk cleanliness. The broom has been passed by Bob’s Army and Navy Store, who won the award during the month of May.
The Ritz Theatre regularly takes part in town events and always coordinates its storefront with town themes. The Ritz has also taken the initiative to repaint the black lamp posts in front of its building in order to keep the appearance looking fresh. The CRC commends and congratulates the Ritz Theatre for its dedication to maintaining the image of downtown Clearfield.
Patti Semelsberger, of Bob’s Army and Navy, spoke of the importance of giving merchants the recognition they deserve. She stated, “The Ritz always participates in town events and has done a great job at keeping the downtown looking nice by painting the lamp posts.”
Bob Knepp, of the Ritz Theatre, said, “It is an honor to have somebody noticing us and all of our efforts.”
