Obituary Notice: Louise C. Blake

Louise C. Blake, 77, of Morrisdale, passed away on June 18, 2011 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.

Born March 7, 1934 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Ardery.

On June 30, 1977 in Winchester, VA, she wed John K. Blake, who survives at home.

She is survived by children:

Cindy Crossan Seitz                                                                           of York, PA

Mark Crossan                                                                                      of Dover, PA

Two step-sons:

John D. Blake                                                                                     of Clarks Summit, PA

Larry Blake                                                                                         of Osceola Mills, PA

Three brothers:

Edward Armstrong                                                                             of Millbrook, Alabama

David Armstrong                                                                                of Hanover, PA

James Michael Ardery                                                                        of Fairmont, WV

Five grandchildren:

Cody, Chelsea and Cassidy Shearer and Brianna and JT Crossan

And six step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband: John “Jack” Crossan, and brother Philip Armstrong.

She was a 1952 graduate of Clearfield High School.

She was an X-Ray Technician at Geisinger Medical Center, Philipsburg, from which she retired.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Philipsburg.

Funeral services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on June 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tracie Bullis officiating.  Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on June 21 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on June 22 from 10-11 a.m.
