Leon J. “Yub” Kitko, 78, of Madera, passed away at 3:03 a.m., June 18, 2011 at the Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on March 20, 1933 in Philipsburg, a son of the late Joseph and Olga (Powis) Kitko. He was a 1951 graduate of the former Beccaria Twp. High School and worked as a heavy equipment operator. Mr. Kitko also operated a salvage yard in Blain City for a number of years.
On Aug. 24, 1963, in Philipsburg, he married Romayne L. Greenaway Kitko, who survives of Madera.
Mr. Kitko is survived by two sons, Raymond E. Kitko and his wife Nancy of Yukon, Oklahoma and Stephen D. Kitko and his wife Jolene of Newton, NJ.
He is also survived by five grandchildren; Melissa, Ryan, Michael, Ashley and Kevin.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
