CLEARFIELD — The Brookville Wood Product (BWP) team, whose home-base is actually Brockway, came in to the Bison Sports Complex on Wednesday night and left with a 6-2 win over the host Chiefs.
The Chiefs were held to only four hits, two by Cole Kephart, by four different BWP pitchers.
Down 3-0, the Chiefs scored two runs in the sixth to only be down one headed to the last inning. Coleman Kubala delivered a clutch two-out single to set the score at 3-2.
In the top of the seventh BWP plated three runs to put the game out of reach.
Andrew Redden was saddled with the loss despite only giving up two earned runs in his four innings of work.
Clearfield, 3-6 overall and 3-2 in the Clearfield-Jefferson County League, will return to action Friday night when they travel to DuBois for a 6:00 p.m. game at Showers Field.
