Ryan P. Douthit, 25, of Monroeville and formerly of DuBois died Friday in Plum.
Born on Sept. 25, 1985 in DuBois, he was the son of Terry J. and Marian (Kumetis) Douthit. They survive and live in DuBois.
He was a respected firefighter and EMT for Monroeville Station 5, where he had achieved the rank of First Lieutenant.
Mr. Douthit was a member of DuBois Volunteer Fire Department’s Goodwill Hose Co. #5. He enjoyed football and working outside.
He is survived by his brother, Michael J. Douthit of Monroeville and his sister, Shawna B. Heffner and her husband, Ryan of DuBois.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. and 7 – 9 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A Scriptural Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church with Fr. David Foradori as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery.
