Garbage an Issue in Clearfield Parks

CLEARFIELD – On Thursday night Clearfield Borough Council President Jim Leitzinger informed council of a trash problem in the borough’s parks.

Leitzinger indicated that, specifically, Lower Witmer has been the biggest target of trash bugs. He stated that people are leaving their trash lay around or throwing their personal trash in the garbage bins. He stated that people caught littering or dumping their personal trash would be prosecuted.

“This is … a problem of public abuse,” said Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott.

“Please … pick up after yourselves,” said Leitzinger.
