University Park, Pa. — Nittany Lion women’s tennis coach Dawna Denny announced today the addition of transfer Nina Sertic (Zagrab, Croatia) to the 2011 recruiting class. Sertic is a transfer from Kansas State and will have one year of eligibility remaining when she joins the Nittany Lion roster in 2011-12.
"We are excited to welcome Nina to the Penn State family," Denny said. "She is a tenacious competitor who loves the game and does not put boundaries on herself. I expect Nina to fit in perfectly with where this team is headed."
Sertic comes to Happy Valley after spending three seasons at Kansas State where she amassed 32 singles wins and 37 doubles victories. She tallied a career-high 14 wins in singles play, including four wins in Big 12 action.
