Motorcyclist Flown for Treatment After Hitting Deer

WORTH TOWNSHIP – A motorcyclist was flown for treatment following an accident with a deer on Friday morning.

The 45-year-old man was traveling northbound on Interstate 99 when a deer ran onto the highway. The man struckthe deer and slid to a stop in the northbound lane.

The state police said the man was wearing a helmet and protective clothing. It was unknown at the time of the report the severity of his injuries.

Police were assisted at the scene by Port Matilda Fire Company, Alpha Ambulance-Centre Life Link, Medic 2447 from Mt. NittanyMedical and PennDOT.
