CLEARFIELD – A Houtzdale man accused of aggravated assault had his hearing continued on Wednesday.
Christopher Killian faces charges of aggravated assault and simple assault.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on April 1 police received a report of an assault. A state trooper spoke with a representative from UPMC who related that the alleged victim was in critical condition, with all of his facial bones broken.
Killian was interviewed and told police that he called the alleged victim because his mother said the alleged victim was making threats. He said he told him, basically, to stay away from his family. He said the alleged victim arrived and a scuffle eventually occurred. Killian stated that the alleged victim tried to hit him, but he ducked and hit the alleged victim with an uppercut. He said the alleged victim went down, and he got on top of him and started landing elbows to put him out. He said he got up and had a neighbor call for an ambulance.
