CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced the capture of a wanted fugitive. Shaw identified the Fugitive as Justin Dixon, age 33, of Lochlomond Road, Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.
Shaw stated that Dixon is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call held on May 13, 2011.
On Oct. 25, 2010, Trooper Adam Gibson of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Dixon with: 1) manufacture, deliver, or possession with the intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance, F; and 2) possession of a controlled substance, M.
An affidavit of probable cause filed by Trooper Gibson states that on June 18, 2010, the Pennsylvania State police began a drug investigation at a local business. Upon investigation it was found that the defendant was an employee of the business and had given a controlled substance to another employee. It was also found that the Defendant had attempted to distribute the controlled substance to other employees.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Dec. 15, 2010, at which time all charges were held for Court. On May 13, 2011, Dixon failed to appear for criminal call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Shaw stated that on May 16, 2011,Officers from the Decatur Township Police Department apprehended Dixon, and he was taken into custody without incident.
Shaw thanked the Decatur Township Police Department for their hard work and assistance with this case.
