Fugitive of the Week: Cody Rinehart

CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of May 23, 2011.

Shaw identified the Fugitive as Cody Rinehart, age 20, of Surveyor Road, Clearfield. Shaw stated that Rinehart is wanted for failure to appear at criminal call held on May 13, 2011.

On Oct. 4, 2010, Trooper William Mostyn of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Rinehart with: 1) theft by unlawful taking, F3; and 2) receiving stolen property, F3.

An affidavit of probable cause filed by Mostyn states that in July 2010, the Pennsylvania State Police began an investigation into the theft of an ATV. Upon investigation, it was found that Rinehart had unlawfully removed an ATV from the victim’s property. The ATV was later recovered but had sustained damage.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 27, 2010, at which time all charges were held for Court. On May 13, 2011, Rinehart failed to appear for Criminal Call and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Rinehart is described as follows:

Sex: Male

Height: 5 feet, 7 inches

Eyes: Hazel

Hair: Brown
