Moose Creek Bridge Work Starts Monday in Clearfield

Short detour in effect during bridge closure

CLEARFIELD – On Monday, May 23, PennDOT will close the Moose Creek Bridge on Route 1013 (West Front Street) for repair work. The bridge is located just off U.S. Route 322, near the Clearfield Pizza Hut in Lawrence Township. During the closure, a short detour will be in effect. The detour uses USR 322, Route 1001 (Fulton Street) and Route 1006 (Mount Joy Road).

Although Route 1013 is usually one-way, local residents will be able to use Route 1013 for two-way traffic during the bridge closure. This bridge repair work is part of a $4.4 million preservation contract covering 21 bridges in Potter, Cameron and Clearfield counties.

Work on the Moose Creek Bridge will include deck repairs, steel repairs, wooden sidewalk replacement and overlay. Work on the bridge will last until early July. Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College is the contractor on this job. All work is weather dependent.
