CLEARFIELD – A Clearfield man is in the hospital after shooting himself on Monday.
According to the Lawrence Township Police Department, officers from the LTPD and Clearfield Borough Police Department responded to a call for shots fired on High Street. Officers were advised the call involved a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Officers found that a 35-year-old man got into an argument with his wife and threatened to shoot her. She left the residence, and was followed ouside by her husband. Police stated the man then turned the gun on himself.
He was found breathing and taken to Clearfield Hospital by emergency medical services. He was then airlifted to Altoona Regional.
As of the time of the report it is unknown what the man’s condition is.
