CLEARFIELD – Reservations for the “Have One on Us” at Ethan’s Café, scheduled for May 16, are due by 4 p.m., May 13. Residents of Clearfield County, who haven’t already attended a “Have One On Us” session, are invited to come and taste a meal. The session will begin at 4:00 p.m.
The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, Inc. (CCAAA) will also conduct a “Have One on Us” session on May 24 at the Dutch Pantry – Clearfield. Reservations for the Dutch Pantry must be made by Friday, May 20. Anyone interested in attending should make reservations by calling the CCAAA at 765-2696.
SM@ART Dining (Sharing Meals at Area Restaurants Together) is a unique program offered by the CCAAA in partnership with local restaurants. SM@ART is not a discount program, but rather a way in which diners can be assured that the combination of foods they order are nutritionally optimal for a mature adult. CCAAA has been treating diners age 60 and over to the SM@ART Meal of their choice at each of the participating restaurants so they can experience SM@ART Dining first hand. There will be no cost to customers who attend. Verification of age and residency may be requested.
At these two special gatherings, participants can select any meal combo from the SM@ART Menu. While orders are being prepared, staff from the Area Agency on Aging will describe how the service works and enroll people who are interested in using it in the future.
