Clinton County Bridgework Starts Today

Detours will be used for Fishing Creek Bridge, Hammersley Fork Bridge

CLEARFIELD – Two Clinton County bridge replacements will get underway today. The bridges will be closed and detours will be in place.

The detour for the Fishing Creek Bridge on Route 2004 (Mackeyville Road) will begin today. The detour for this closure uses Route 2004, Route 64, Route 220 and Route 2008.

The Fishing Creek Bridge is in Lamar Township. This $2 million project replaces the current bridge with a new two-span concrete bridge.

Glenn O. Hawbaker Inc. of State College is the contractor on the project, which will be complete next June.
The detour for the Hammersley Fork Bridge uses Township Road 545 (Hammersley Fork Avenue).

The Hammersley Fork Bridge is in Leidy Township. This $1 million project replaces the current bridge with a new two-span concrete bridge.

The Velotta Company is the contractor on this job, which will be complete this October.

PennDOT advises drivers to obey posted speed limits and follow detour signs.
