Rachel M. Koren, 81, of Clearfield and formerly of Osceola Mills died Wednesday at her home.
Born June 18, 1929 in Osceola Mills, she was a daughter of the late Justin Kephart and Dorothy Goss Kephart. She was affiliated with the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Osceola Mills.
She wed Albert J. Koren July 12, 1952 in Osceola Mills and who died March 30, 1998. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Carole Olson and two brothers, Justin and Clarence Kephart.
Mrs. Koren is survived by two daughters, Veronica Preece and her husband, Malcolm of Osceola Mills and Tammy Hunter and her husband, Rony of Sandy Ridge; two brothers, Robert Kephart and his wife, Barbara and Andrew Kephart and his wife, Pat, both of Osceola Mills; and one sister, Ruth Ann Straw and her husband, William of Clearfield.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Edward, John and Amber Olson; Jason and Michelle Winters; Amanda, Veronica and Rachel Hunter and six great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills, with Deacon Dennis J. Socash officiating. Interment will be at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
