James “Doug” Munro Jr., 75 of DuBois died Thursday at his residence.
Born on July 11, 1935, he was the son of the late James D. Munro Sr. and Genevieve A. “Sparky” Munro.
He was a veteran of the US Army and a maintenance repairman at SKF Ball Bearing Manufacturing in Jamestown, NY for 37 years. He enjoyed riding Harley Davidson motorcycles.
On Aug. 3, 1959 in Cumberland, MD, he married Josephine “Jody” (Emmert) Munro. She preceded him in death on Dec. 9, 2008.
He’s survived by a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Sally Jo) Cairns and a brother, Thomas E. Munro, both of DuBois and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
Private visitation will be held Friday, April 29 at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Morningside Cemetery.
