Photo: Double-Breasted Cormorants

Gant reader Allen Bickel provided this photo of about 30 double-crested cormorants paying a visit to Clearfield. They were roosting in trees on the east side of the river below Kerr Addition. A little smaller than a turkey vulture, they are a diving bird but must dry their wings between dives.
