Karla Harris, 74 of Broadmore Assisted Living, York, and formerly of Philipsburg, passed away on April 18, 2011 at Broadmore Assisted Living, York.
Born April 18, 1937 in Oberkreuzberg, Germany she was the daughter of the late Josef and Anna (Dangl) Wurmdobler.
She was married on April 15, 1965 in Kansas City to Sidney Lynn Harris who died on March 20, 2008.
Surviving are children:
Lori A. Pulsney-Harris and fiancé Rick Miller of York, Pa
Philip R. Harris and wife Tracie L. of Pittsburgh, Pa
She has surviving brothers and sisters in Germany and Tennessee.
She has four surviving grandchildren:
Tyler Pulsney, Kameryn Sydni “Kamy” Harris, Donovan Harris and Landon Harris
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
She retired from Penn State University. She was of the Catholic faith.
Funeral Services will be held at the David K. Dahlgren Funeral Home, 228 N. Centre St. Philipsburg, on April 20 at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Philipsburg Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 20 from 12 until 2 p.m.
