Donald Paul Bachelier, 45 of Grampian, formerly of Washington, DC, died on April 16, 2011 at his residence after a two year battle with cancer.
He was born on April 19, 1965 in Clearfield, a son of Samuel P. and Grace I. (Irwin) Bachelier of Grampian.
Mr. Bachelier was the general manager of Jaleo Restaurant, part of the Think Food Group, LLC of Washington, DC.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Restaurant Management from Johnson and Wales University, Providence, RI. He will be remembered for his love of baking and gardening.
In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers:
Daniel Paul Bachelier and wife Sherry Grampian
David Paul Bachelier and wife Wendy Kittanning
And two nieces and a nephew:
Meredith Slee and husband Evan KY
Courtney Bachelier Grampian
Matthew Bachelier Kittanning
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Curwensville on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Interment will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Tuesday from 5-8:00 p.m. and at the church on Wednesday from 10-11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, PO Box 312, Curwensville.
