CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney, William A. Shaw, Jr., announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of April 18, 2011. Shaw identified the Fugitive as Peter Rossi, age 31, of Bell Lane, Woodland.

Shaw stated that Rossi is wanted for failure to appear at Pretrial Conferences on April 14, 2011.

On Aug. 31, 2010, Trooper Brian Elensky of the Pennsylvania State Police, Clearfield Barracks, filed a criminal complaint charging Rossi with: 1) theft by unlawful taking, M1; and 2) receiving stolen property, M1.

The victim approached the vehicle and came in contact with Rossi who was loading the vehicle with the scrap metal. Rossi then fled the scene. The victim reported that Rossi had improperly removed approximately three tons of scrap metal from his property.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Oct. 13, 2010, at which time all charges were held for Court. On April 14, 2011, Rossi failed to appear for pretrial conferences and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Rossi is described as follows:
